3 Prefabricated Metal Commercial Buildings in Bismarck, North Dakota

A business owner in Bismarck, North Dakota needed an expansive space that could accommodate cranes and commercial operations and tasked Metal Building Outlet with supplying a building to meet these needs. Metal Building Outlet obliged, sending the building kits for these three pre-engineered steel commercial buildings to North Dakota’s second-largest city in October 2023.

Comprised of three smaller buildings that share common walls, the new commercial complex provides ample space for manufacturing, storage and office operations. Each structure has a wide clear span that maximizes usable floorspace, and all three meet stringent local building codes, enhancing durability in North Dakota’s harsh climate.

Key features and customizations include a hipped in-roof condition between two of the buildings, which improves exterior aesthetics while helping rain and snow slide off easily. The second of the three metal commercial buildings also has 1,800-pound rooftop units point-loaded onto it, and the second and third structures also have parapet materials that allow for the addition of future mechanical systems. The buildings also feature windows throughout that allow plenty of natural light and warmth inside.

The buildings can also accommodate two 7.5-ton top-running cranes to support heavy lifting and boost operational efficiency. Durable, low-maintenance and custom-designed to meet the owner’s needs, these three steel commercial buildings together create a functional, flexible space to store assets and conduct business.
