Metal Building in Amherst, Ohio

Metal Building Outlet secured this pre-engineered metal building on behalf of a customer in Amherst, Ohio, in June of 2020.

Used for commercial purposes, the highly energy-efficient steel building offers unmatched structural integrity and is 50’x80’x14’ in size when erect. It has a clear-span design, maximizing available space, and its high overhead clearance offers additional room for storage or similar use.

The commercial building’s roof is comprised of rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume paneling and has a 3:12 pitch, and (8) framed openings in a variety of sizes serve as additional features. Included are (3) 3070 walk door openings, (2) of which contain 3070 walk doors, (1) 10’x10’ opening, (1) 12’x12’ opening, (1) 6070 walk door opening and (2) 3’x3’ window openings enclosing (2) 3’x3’ windows.

A high-performing insulation package is among the metal commercial building’s key attributes. In the roof is a layer of high R-value, R-36 fiberglass insulation, while the walls contain R-19 insulation. Other weather- and climate-related enhancements include colored gutters and downspouts, a 115-mph wind load and a 20-pound snow load.
