Metal Building in Aztec, New Mexico
Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building for a customer in Aztec, New Mexico, in late January of 2016.
Low maintenance and designed with energy efficiency in mind, the building is created using premium-grade steel components, and it stands 60’x80’x22’ once fully erect. Overhead, protecting it, is a rugged Galvalume metal roof with a 2:12 roof pitch. Now used as a shop by the owner, the building boasts (2) framed openings; (1) 45’x18’6” opening and (1) housing a 3070 commercial walk door. Installed in the roof and walls of the structure is R-13 building insulation, which reduces energy costs while enhancing interior comfort for building users. Additional project features include a wind speed of 90 mph and a snow load of 35 lbs. These additions were made in consideration of the weather and climate patterns characteristic of the area.
A part of San Juan County in northwestern New Mexico, the city of Aztec is considered part of the Farmington, New Mexico Metropolitan Statistical Area. It lies about 106 miles from Chama and about 18 miles outside Farmington.
