Metal Building Outlet supplied this preconstructed steel shop building in Bakersfield, California, in August of 2019.

Standing 40’x60’x17’ in size, the building currently functions as a shop, and it features a rugged Galvalume roof with a 1:12 pitch overhead. Insulated with R-10 fiberglass insulation in the roof to maximize energy efficiency, the metal building provides a comfortable, year-round space suitable for any number of different needs.

Distributed throughout the steel workshop are (4) framed openings that vary in size, among them (2) 12’x14’ openings enclosing (2) 12’x14’ walk doors, (1) 12’x12’ opening enclosing (1) 12’x12’ walk door and (1) 3070 walk door opening. The building also features a wind speed rating of 110 mph; a customization made with respect for the building code requirements currently in place across the region.

Located along the Kern River, north of Los Angeles, Bakersfield is a part of Southern California’s Kern County. The community lies about 110 miles outside Los Angeles and about 275 miles outside the California state capital, Sacramento.
