Pre-Engineered Metal Shop in Baltimore, Maryland

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel building for a client in Baltimore, Maryland.

Offering unmatched strength, durability and energy efficiency, the building now operates as a shop for its owner. It stands strong in the face of harsh weather, pests and other potential hazards, and it features a Light Stone exterior and a fully erect size of 38’8”x63’3”x20’. Its corrosion-resistant roof is comprised of rugged Galvalume metal panels and offers a 3:12 pitch, while (4) framed openings serve as additional features, among them (3) 3070 walk door openings and (1) 10’x10’ opening.

Installed within the roof and walls of the steel workshop is R-19 insulation, which keeps energy bills low and building users comfortable, regardless of outside temperatures. A 30-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind load further enhance durability with respect for the wind and weather patterns commonly seen in and around Baltimore.

Maryland’s largest city, Baltimore is an independent city, meaning it does not belong to any particular county. The second-largest seaport in the Mid-Atlantic region, Baltimore lies about 40 miles from Rockville and roughly 40 miles outside Washington, D.C.
