Metal Building Outlet provided this prefabricated metal building in Belchertown, Massachusetts in early April of 2021.
The main metal building, which functions as a shop, is 40’x60’x16’ when raised. It is comprised of commercial-grade grey iron and galvanized framing and has broad clear span that maximizes usable floor space. Overhead, it features a durable, corrosion-resistant Galvalume gable roof.
The attached, roof-only lean-to on the property is 15’x50’x11’/16’ once erect and features portal frames in lieu of cable bracing. Engineered for an Energy Saver insulation system, the steel lean-to contains a high R-value, R-30 double-layer banded roof insulation system and another 6” of R-19 insulation in the walls. Both the roof and wall insulation have rugged WMP-VRR facing attached to the inward-facing side, helping protect the insulation blankets from moisture and damage.
Engineered to adhere to all building and engineering codes currently in place in Belchertown, the steel structures also boast wind speed ratings of 119 mph and roof snow loads of 35 psf.
