Steel Shop Building in Benzonia, Michigan
Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel shop building for a buyer in Benzonia, Michigan, in early August of 2019.
Hardwearing, versatile and designed for life in Michigan’s unpredictable climate, the building features premium-quality steel construction and stands 50’x100’x16’ in size. Now in use as a shop, the building boasts a broad clear span that maximizes usable square footage and high overhead clearance, which enhances overall shop functionality.
A rugged, reliable Galvalume metal roof with a 1:12 pitch sits overhead, protecting against corrosion and the Michigan elements, and (5) framed openings serve as additional features. Included are (2) 10’x10’openings, (2) 14’x14’ openings and (1) 3070 walk door opening. Other customizations added with respect for local building codes and the region’s typical climate patterns include a 115-mph wind speed rating and a high, 60-pound snow load.
Part of Benzie County, in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, Benzonia sits along the southeast end of Crystal Lake. The small community lies about 31 miles outside Traverse City and about 20 miles west of Interlochen.
