Automotive Shop Building in Blackburn, Missouri
Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel building for a customer in Blackburn, Missouri, in March of 2019.
Now used for automotive purposes, the building stands 50’x63’x18’ in size and features an open, clear-span design that provides plenty of obstruction-free room for storing or servicing vehicles. The metal automotive building’s high ceilings can easily accommodate lifts, while its rugged steel construction protects cars and trucks from harsh weather, strong winds, intense sunshine and other potential automotive hazards.
Polar White in color, the building requires very little in terms of lifetime maintenance, and a corrosion- and damage-resistant Galvalume roof with a 1:12 pitch sits overhead, creating a reliable layer of protection from the elements. Additional automotive building features include R-10 insulation within the walls and (3) framed openings, among them (2) 18’x6’ openings and (1) 3’4”x7’2” opening.
Additional features added in adherence to local building code requirements include a 115-mph wind speed rating and a 20-pound snow load. Located in north-central Missouri, the city of Blackburn has land in Lafayette and Saline counties. The community lies roughly 200 miles west of St. Louis and about 105 miles northwest of Jefferson City.
