Metal Building in Boone, North Carolina
Metal Building Outlet sourced this pre-engineered metal building in Boone, North Carolina, in April of 2021.
Durable, sustainable and engineered to last, the insulated building now functions as a shop and is comprised of rugged, quality steel parts. When raised, the metal shop is 100’x100’x16’ in size, offering high overhead clearance and an unobstructed clear-span design.
The painted roof of the steel shop has a gable design, and inside the roof is a layer of high R-value, R-38 metal building insulation. The walls of the shop contain R-35 insulation, creating a highly energy-efficient interior while keeping the shop’s energy bills low.
Found throughout the metal shop are (7) framed door and window openings in a variety of sizes. Additional project customizations include 4’ of wainscoting along all walls, which enhances aesthetic appeal, and gutters and downspouts that match the building’s trim package while helping prevent condensation and water damage. A 130-mph wind load and a 20-psf snow load keep the metal shop compliant with local building code requirements.
