Steel Shop Building in Carr, Colorado
Metal Building Outlet was the provider of this prefabricated steel building for a client in Carr, Colorado, in March of 2018.
Nowadays, it serves as a shop for its owner, and it offers a fully erect size of 46’x85’x16’. Rugged, durable and accommodating, the building boasts (4) framed openings that enhance accessibility, among them (2) 12’x14’ openings and (2) 3’x7’ openings. Overhead, a durable, corrosion-resistant metal roof with a 1:12 pitch helps protect against moisture and damage.
Additional project features include (32) translucent wall panels, which allow for notable light diffusion and impressive thermal performance, and several accommodations made with respect for the climate and snowfall patterns common across Carr and the surrounding landscape. These include a 120-mph wind speed rating and a 20-pound snow load.
Part of north-central Colorado’s Weld County, Carr is predominantly a ghost town, although a few residents reside in the area. The community sits about 85 miles north of Denver and roughly 31 miles northeast of Fort Collins.
