Metal Building in Carthage, Texas

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building in Carthage, Texas, in July of 2021.

Now serving double-duty as a shop and garage, the durable, climate-controlled steel building is 50’x60’ in size. Its heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant monitor-style roof has varying pitches. Distributed throughout the steel shop and garage are (21) door and window openings allow building users, vehicles and natural sunlight. There are also 1’ and 2’ overhangs along the building’s outside walls, creating additional covered space.

An insulation package keeps energy bills low and interior temperatures comfortable and consistent throughout the year. In the roof is a 6” layer of R-19 insulation, while the walls contain a 4” layer of R-13 insulation. Other upgrades include gutters and downspouts, which help prevent condensation and water damage, and several other climate-related enhancements, including a 3.5-psf snow load and a 105-mph wind speed rating.
