Steel Building in Casper, Wyoming
Metal Building Outlet provided this pre-engineered steel building for a customer in Casper, Wyoming in March of 2021.
Now in use as a shop, the insulated, highly energy-efficient metal building features top-of-the-line steel construction and is 70’x100’x18’ when raised. It has high ceilings and an open, clear-span design, and overhead, it has a hardwearing, painted gable roof.
Installed within the roof is a 6” layer of fiberglass insulation, while the walls hold a 4” layer of fiberglass insulation. The insulation blankets have heavy-duty WMP-VRR vinyl facing adhered to the interior-facing side, which protects the blankets from condensation and damage.
There are (9) framed door openings offering access inside the metal shop, which include (3) 3070 framed openings enclosing (3) 3070 commercial insulated walk doors with lever locks and (6) 16’x16’ overhead door framed openings. A wind speed rating of 115 mph and a roof snow load of 30 psf are additional customizations made with the climate characteristics of the area and the building codes in place in Casper in mind.
