Metal Crane Building in Lyons, Colorado
Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered metal building for a customer in Lyons, Colorado, in early July of 2015.
Now a crane building, the structure stands 69.4’x72’x19.6’ in size and is crafted from premium-quality steel components. Its roof is made of rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal and has a 1:12 roof pitch. Inside the durable, low-maintenance structure are (14) framed openings varying in size and purpose. These include (2) 3070 openings housing (2) 3070 steel walk doors with 20-gauge panic hardware, (10) 3’x5’4” wall-light windows, (1) custom framed opening with trim and a 59’8”x2’1” t-shaped opening over the top and (1) additional 15’x16’x7/8” opening enclosing (2) double-swinging doors. The last opening also features (2) jambs and a full wrap.
To reduce energy costs associated with the building, high R-value, R-30 insulation is installed within the building’s roof, while R-19 metal building insulation can be found in the walls. A high wind speed of 166 mph and a snow load of 30 lbs. serve as additional project features, and were included to enhance durability given the typical climate of Lyons.
A statutory town set within Boulder County, Lyons is located about 21 miles outside Estes Park and 12 miles outside Longmont.

Brewery Building in Silverthorne, Colorado
Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel building for a buyer in Silverthorne, Colorado, in July of 2015.
Now the Angry James Brewery, the attractive and low-maintenance metal building is crafted from long-lasting, hardwearing premium-grade steel components. It stands 40’x60’x16’ in size once fully erect and is covered and protected overhead by an exceedingly durable, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal roof with a 2:12 roof pitch. In consideration of Silverthorne’s mountainous location and the typical weather patterns, a wind speed of 115 mph and a very high snow load of 80 lbs. were included during the construction process.
A part of north-central Colorado’s Summit County, the town of Silverthorne sits close to the Dillon Reservoir. It is situated about 92 miles outside the ski resort city of Aspen and about 91 miles outside the city of Glenwood Springs.

50’x80’x12’ Metal Building in Longmont, Colorado
Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered metal building for a buyer in Longmont, Colorado, in early January of 2016.
Designed with extreme energy efficiency in mind, the building is constructed using premium-grade steel components. It stands 50’x80’x12’ in size and has a 3’ open masonry perimeter. It is covered and protected by a hardwearing Galvalume metal roof with a 3:12 roof pitch, and it now functions as a shop for the owner.
Inside the building are (4) commercial walk doors with accompanying levers, and it also boasts high R-value, R-40 insulation in the roof and R-25 insulation within its walls. The insulation was included to reduce energy expenditures associated with the building given the often cold temperatures experienced through Longmont and the surrounding region. High wind speeds and snow loads of 140 mph and 30 lbs., respectively, were also included during construction due to the heavy snowfall and variable weather patterns common in the area.
With land in both Boulder and Weld Counties, the city of Longmont is situated about 33 miles from Estes Park and about 12 miles from Lyons.
