Metal Building Outlet supplied this steel building in Woodland Park, Colorado in January, 2014. This building features steel components from Nucor and is used as a shop and storage for the owner’s tractors and other equipment about 20 minutes from Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs.
This shop/storage is 30’x40’x16’3” and features (8) 34”x6’3” windows, a 3’x7’ walk door and a 16’x14’ insulated heavy duty overhead door for easy access to the interior by the equipment.
The roof on this building is galvalume and has a 1:12 pitch. In order to accommodate the optional high efficiency R-38 double layer (6” + 6”) insulation on the roof, a purlin depth of 10” was used and thermal blocks were added to the entire roof. The walls are also insulated with a single layer of 6” R-19 insulation. Along with the heavy insulation package for the climate of eastern Teller County, this steel building has ratings for wind speeds of 90 MPH and can the roof can bear a snow load of 40 PSF.

Metal Building Outlet supplied this steel building in Longmont, Colorado. This building was purchased in October, 2013 and is used as an aircraft hangar. This Nucor building is about 30 miles from Denver and Fort Collins in Boulder County on the northwest side of the Denver Metro Region.
This building has a finished size of 68’x63’x25’ and a large 50’x17.5’ bi-fold door as well as two 4’x7’ steel walk doors. The building will have a partial mezzanine as well. The snow load for the 1:12 pitched roof is 30 PSF and the building has a wind rating of 120 MPH.

The walls and roof of this building are both galvanized and the finished size of the building is 40’x40’x16’. This building has two doors, one is a 12’x12’ overhead door and the other is a 3’x7’ walk door.
The building has wind and snow load features that are appropriate for its location in the plains of Colorado, near Boulder and Fort Collins. The wind and snow load recommended for this area of Adams County and nearby Jefferson County are 110 MPH and a snow load of 50 PSF.
