Metal Roof Only Canopy in Concordia, Kansas

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered metal roof-only structure for a customer in Concordia, Kansas in June of 2013.

Crafted from Nucor Building Systems components, the metal, roof-only canopy stands 80’x70’x12’ with a Galvalume roof and a 2:12 roof pitch, and now serves as a patio cover, providing shade and shelter for its owner.

Due to Concordia’s humid-continental climate, the city sees considerable wind and precipitation, and experiences virtually no dry season. With this in mind, the steel canopy was constructed with a wind speed of 90 mph, a roof snow load of 21 lbs. and a ground snow load of 25 lbs.

Concordia is considered the county seat of Cloud County, Kansas, and is a part of the Smoky Hills region of the Great Plains of north-central Kansas. It lies about 159 miles from the Kansas state capital of Topeka, and about 222 miles outside of Kansas City.

Steel Building in Dodge City, Kansas

Metal Building Outlet supplied this spacious, striking steel building in Dodge City, Kansas, in January, 2013.

It is now used as a shop by RJA Dozer Services, a Minneola-based excavation contracting service. Crafted from premium components from CO Building Systems, the large metal building is 80’x200’x21’ in size, and is covered and protected by a corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof with a 1:12 pitch.

Additional building features include (3) framed openings; (1) 25’x20’ in size and (2) of which house 3070 walk doors for easy user accessibility. Because of the constant threat of severe weather, including tornado activity and seasonal snowfall, the building was constructed with a wind speed of 115 mph and a ground snow load of 20 lbs.

Dodge County is located within Ford County, in the southwestern section of Kansas. It lies about 154 miles outside Wichita and 68 miles from Garden City.

Steel Building in Liberal, Kansas

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel building in Liberal, Kansas, in March of 2015.

Now used as a shop by Friesen Recycling, the low-maintenance and energy-efficient Garco Building Systems-brand building boasts light stone-colored paint and is covered by a durable Galvalume roof with a 1:12 roof pitch. It stands 45’x70’x16’ in size, and has (2) framed openings to ensure easy accessibility. These include (1) 12’x14’ insulated overhead sectional garage door and (1) 3070 walk door.

To keep heating and cooling costs low and interior temperatures comfortable and consistent year-round, the building was constructed with high-performing R-13 insulation in both the roof and walls. Liberal and its surrounding areas experience considerable temperature variation throughout the year and light annual snowfall in the wintertime, and with this in mind, a wind speed of 115 mph and a ground snow load of 15 lbs. were factored in during construction.

Located within southwestern Kansas’s Seward County, Liberal sits about 82 miles from Dodge City and 67 miles from Garden City.

Metal Shop Building in Liberal, Kansas

Metal Church Building Liberal, Kansas

Metal Building Outlet supplied this Nucor-brand metal church building to a customer in Liberal, Kansas in June of 2014.

Red in color with a Galvalume roof and a 1:12 roof pitch, the 40’x40’x16’ pre-engineered steel building now serves as a church. It features a total of (4) framed openings, among them (2) 3070 walk doors and (2) 12’x14’ overhead doors. Given the significant variation in year-round temperatures in Liberal, the building was constructed with R-10 insulation in both the roof and walls. It also has a wind speed of 90 mph and a ground snow load of 15 lbs.

Intended for use as a church from the outset, Metal Building Outlet provided insulation and doors for the building, in addition to assisting with a city permit.

Liberal is located within Seward County in southwest Kansas. It lies about 67 miles from Garden City and about 82 miles outside of Dodge City.

Agricultural Steel Building in Lincoln, Kansas

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building in Lincoln, Kansas.

Now used for agricultural purposes, the energy efficient and light stone-colored structure is crafted from premium-quality steel components. Its Galvalume metal roof resists corrosion and has a 2:12 pitch, and the farm building features (10) framed openings varying in terms of size and function. Included are (2) 24’x14’ openings enclosing (2) 24’x14’ insulated sectional doors, (1) 16’x14’ opening enclosing (1) 16’x14’ insulated sectional door, (1) 12’x12’ opening boasting (1) 12’x12’ insulated sectional door, (1) 10’x10’ opening harboring (1) 10’x10’ insulated sectional door, and, finally, (5) 3070 openings, each equipped with one of (5) 3070 steel walk doors.

To minimize energy bills while enhancing interior comfort for building users, the building boasts R-19 insulation within its roof and R-13 insulation within its walls. Additional accommodations made with respect for the climate and weather patterns commonly experienced throughout Lincoln and the surrounding region include a wind speed rating of 115 mph and a snow load of 25 lbs.

Lincoln, which is sometimes referred to as Lincoln Center, is a part of north-central Kansas’ Lincoln County. Set within the Smoky Hills region of the Great Plains, Lincoln lies about 101 miles outside Wichita and roughly 190 miles west of Kansas City.
