Combining robust durability with impressive energy efficiency, the long-lasting, multifunctional metal building stands 30’x40’x16’ in size and has high overhead clearance and a wide clear span, making it well-suited for any number of different uses. Its roof has a 1:12 pitch and is comprised of heavy-duty Galvalume panels, and it also has (4) framed openings, which include (1) 3070 walk door opening, (1) 12’x14’ opening enclosing (1) 12’x14’ overhead door and (2) 4’x4’ windows that allow natural sunlight inside.

Keeping the steel shop comfortable and the energy bills associated with it low is an insulation package that includes a layer of R-13 insulation in the roof and R-10 insulation in its walls. The metal building also counts a 115-mph wind rating and a 20-pound snow load among its customizations; inclusions made in consideration of the climate of Spruce Pine and the building codes in place in the region.

Metal Building Outlet was pleased to supply these (2) pre-engineered metal shop buildings in New London, North Carolina, in September of 2019.

Offering supreme durability and functionality, the (2) buildings currently undergo use as shops. The first and larger metal building stands 65’x90’x28’ in size once raised, while the second, smaller steel building offers a fully erect size of 25’x25’x11’11”. Comprised of heavy-duty steel components, the shop’s wide, clear-span design eliminates unnecessary interior obstructions, freeing up more usable space, while its rugged, hardwearing Galvalume metal roof with a 1:12 pitch protects its interior from above.

The steel workshop features (1) 3’4”x7’2” framed opening and several other customizations added in consideration of the area’s typical climate patterns and in compliance with local building codes. These accommodations include a high, 130-mph wind speed rating and a 10-pound snow load.

A part of southern North Carolina’s Brunswick County, Winnabow is largely an agricultural community. The area sits about 15 miles outside Wilmington and roughly 20 miles from Myrtle Grove.

An insulation package comprised of R-30 roof insulation and R-19 wall insulation serves as an additional customization, enhancing interior comfort for shop users while lowering associated energy bills.
