Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel workshop building in Pearisburg, Virginia, in late March of 2019.

Energy efficient and low maintenance, the building features top-of-the-line steel construction, resulting in unsurpassed strength and durability. Once erect, the building, which now serves as a shop, stands 44’x75’x22’ in size, offering high clearance and a broad clear span that enhances functionality.

Covering the shop from above is a rugged Galvalume roof with a 1:12 pitch, and the steel building also features (1) 8’x7’ framed door. Other notable customizations include R-10 fiberglass insulation within the roof and walls, which lowers energy bills while creating a comfortable year-round work environment, and several accommodations added in adherence to local building code requirements, among them a high, 90-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind load.

Part of Virginia’s Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford Metropolitan Statistical Area, the town of Pearisburg is a part of Giles County. The community sits about 24 miles from Blacksburg and roughly 20 miles north of Dublin.

Energy-Efficient Steel Shop in Chesterfield, Virginia

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered metal shop building on behalf of a customer in Chesterfield, Virginia, in April of 2019.

Insulated, multifunctional and easy to maintain, the building stands 34’x64’x20’ in size once raised, and it now undergoes use as a workshop. Constructed using rugged, premium-grade steel parts, the workshop offers unrivaled structural integrity, and a hardwearing Galvalume roof with a 2:12 pitch sits overhead, protecting the building against corrosion.

Additional accommodations include (3) framed openings; (1) 3070 opening equipped with (1) 3070 walk door and (2) 8’x8’ openings, each enclosing one of (2) 8’x8’ doors, and several inclusions that enhance durability given the climate characteristics of the area. Such features include a 20-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind load.

An insulation package comprised of R-19 fiberglass roof insulation and R-13 wall insulation serves as another notable customization, and it makes the shop more suitable for year-round use while lowering energy expenses associated with the building. Part of Chesterfield County, in eastern Virginia, Chesterfield sits about 95 miles northeast of Norfolk and roughly 17 miles south of Richmond.

Energy efficient and engineered to last the long haul, the metal building stands 30’x52’x10’ in size, and its owners now use it for storage purposes. A rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof with a 3:12 pitch provides protection from above, and (4) framed openings varying in size offer easy access inside and ample natural sunlight for building users. Included are (1) 10’x8’ opening, (1) 3’4”x7’2” framed opening and (2) 3’x3’ windows.

An insulation package keeps energy bills low and stored goods at appropriate temperatures, regardless of outside weather patterns. In its roof, the building contains R-19 insulation, while R-13 insulation panels sit within its walls. A snow load of 30 pounds and a wind speed rating of 115 mph serve as additional features added with regard for Virginia’s variable climate and distinct seasonal weather patterns. A small, unincorporated area tucked within Dinwiddie County, the community of Dinwiddie lies about 43 miles southeast of Richmond and about 22 miles outside Petersburg.

The garage also features several accommodations made in consideration of the four distinct seasons and the variable weather patterns common throughout Powhatan and the surrounding area, and these include a snow load of 30 pounds and a wind speed rating of 115 mph. Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered metal building for a buyer in Gladys, Virginia, in late March of 2016.

Now used as an arena, the building is constructed using premium-grade steel components. It boasts a finished size of 80’x120’x16’, and it is covered and protected overhead by a hardwearing Galvalume metal roof that is designed with corrosion-resistance in mind. Inside the metal building are a total of (48) framed openings. These include (4) 16’x14’ openings enclosing (4) 16’x14’ roll-coil doors, (2) doorframes openings housing (2) 3070 commercial walk doors and (42) 3’x5’ translucent window panels. To enhance building durability with respect to the climate and weather patterns common throughout greater Gladys, the building also features a wind speed of 115 mph and a snow load of 25 lbs.

An unincorporated community in central Virginia’s Campbell County, Gladys is situated about 64 miles from Cave Spring and about 34 miles outside Halifax.

Batting Cage Building in Forrest, Virginia

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel building for a buyer in Forrest, Virginia, in March of 2016.

Now a batting cage for the students of Jefferson Forrest High School, the energy efficient and low-maintenance metal building is crafted from top-quality steel, and it stands 40’x80’x15’ in size. Protecting it overhead is a rugged and hardwearing Galvalume metal roof with a 4:12 roof pitch, and inside the batting cage are (4) framed openings. These include (1) 10’x10’ opening housing (1) 10’x10’ overhead door and (3) 3070 doorframes housing (3) 3070 commercial walk doors.

To reduce energy costs and keep the interior of the building comfortable regardless of season, an insulation package is included in this project. Installed in the roof is R-19 metal building insulation, while R-13 insulation can be found in the walls. The cage also features a snow load of 25 lbs. and a wind speed of 115 mph, decisions that were made to enhance durability with respect for the weather and climate patterns typical of the Forrest area.

A census-designated place set within central Virginia’s Bedford County, Forrest is located about 29 miles outside Montvale and about 12 miles from Lynchburg.

Metal Building in Big Stone Gap, Virginia

Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered metal building for a customer in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, in March of 2015.

Now a garage, the durable, energy-efficient metal building is 30’x50’x10’ in size and covered overhead by a Galvalume roof with a 2:12 roof pitch. The steel building is crafted from premium Nucor Building Systems components and boasts (3) framed openings; (1) of which is 6’x7’ and (2) of which are 10’x8’ in size.

To maximize energy efficiency and interior comfort regardless of season, R-10 insulation was included in the metal garage’s roof and walls. With the Big Stone Gap area’s typical climate and weather patterns in mind, the building was engineered with a wind speed of 90 mph and a ground snow load of 25 lbs.

Once known as both Mineral City and Three Forks, the Big Stone Gap community is a part of south-western Virginia’s Wise County. It lies about 79 miles outside Richlands and 12 miles from Norton.

Made with Nucor Building Systems components, the building is now used as a shop, and is covered by a heavy-duty Galvalume roof with a 1:12 roof pitch. It features a total of (8) framed openings, which include  (4) 4’x8’ openings, (2) 12’x12’ openings, (1) 12’x10’ opening and (1) 10’x10’ opening.

Sedley and its surrounding areas generally experience a variable climate with significant rainfall recorded throughout the year. With the region’s typical weather patterns and climate conditions in mind, the Virginia metal building was constructed with a wind speed of 90 mph and a snow load of 20 lbs.

A census-designated place located within Southampton County in southeast Virginia, Sedley sits about 50 miles from Petersburg and 36 miles from Suffolk.

Metal Building in Roanoke, Virginia

Metal Building Outlet supplied this steel building in Roanoke, Virginia.  Purchased in January, 2013 this Roanoke County building is about 55 miles from Lynchburg and 190 miles from Richmond.

This steel building is used as a storage building and is 50’x60’x16’.  There are four entrances, two of which are 14’x14’ overhead doors and the remaining two are 3’x7’ walk-through doors. The building has a wind load of 90 MPH and roof snow loads of 17.5 PSF and 25 PSF ground snow load. Gutters were also ordered with the building.  We helped the owner worked extensively with his local building department to receive all building permits to allow this building to be assembled as planned.
