Metal Building in Chesterfield Township, Michigan
Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building in Chesterfield Township, Michigan in August of 2020.
Durable, attractive and heavily insulated to maximize energy efficiency, the metal building is 90’x90’x12’ in size and now functions as a church. Comprised of high-quality steel components, the steel church has numerous customizations throughout ranging from a 3’6” girt for exterior wainscoting to a spandrel beam, which aids in load distribution. Overhead, a rugged gable roof with a 4:12 pitch provides steady protection from the elements.
A high-performance, high R-value insulation system is a key church feature, ensuring parishioners stay comfortable throughout the year in Michigan’s variable climate. In the roof is R-48 long-tab banding and roof insulation with black WMP-VRR facing serving as a protective cover. The walls of the steel church contain 6” of fiberglass insulation.
The metal church also features an upgraded, 5-psf collateral load limit, a 25-pound roof snow load and a 120-mph wind speed rating.
