Commercial Metal Buildings in Houston, Texas
Metal Building Outlet sourced these (2) pre-engineered commercial metal buildings for a customer in Houston, Texas, in February of 2022.
Now functioning as shops for a meat-processing company, the buildings offer unparalleled strength and durability and have attractive, Old Town Gray exteriors with complementing Cool White trim. The first metal shop is 65’x100’x24’ and has a Cool White gable roof with a 2.5:12 pitch overhead, while the second shop is 24’x45’x24’/28’2” once erect and has a single-slope Cool White roof with a 2.5:12 pitch.
Also supplied for this project was an 8’3” canopy with gutters and downspouts, creating additional covered space. Key shop features include #1.5 roof collateral loads, which support the buildings’ lights, insulation and HVAC systems, and (4) framed door openings distributed between them.
Included between the commercial shop buildings are (2) 12’x18’ openings for overhead doors and (2) 3070 framed openings that will house walk doors. The metal shop buildings also have several special features, including purlins spaced 10’ apart, rather than the traditional 8’, to accommodate high R-value, R-38 insulation systems.
Gutters and downspouts help protect the metal shops against condensation, and 140-mph wind speed ratings enhance durability and keep them compliant with local building codes.
