Insulated Custom Steel Shop in Los Lunas, New Mexico
Metal Building Outlet delivered this custom steel building to Los Lunas, New Mexico, in February of 2023.
Insulated and energy-efficient, the Charcoal Gray metal shop building with Ash Gray trim has center-post columns running down its entire length and high, 24’ ceilings that maximize usable space inside. Engineered to house a fire suppression system, the steel shop also has Charcoal Gray gutters and downspouts along the roof, helping prevent rainwater from pooling on top of the building or dripping down and damaging the walls.
The roof of the building contains a layer of R-19 fiberglass insulation, while the walls hold 4” of R-13 insulation with VRR vinyl facing. This keeps interior temperatures consistent throughout the year while lowering heating and cooling bills. The building also meets or exceeds local building code requirements, which the client confirmed with the local building department before signing off on the building order.
