Steel Building in Fairview, North Carolina
Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel building for a customer in Fairview, North Carolina, in November of 2016.
Both highly energy efficient and impressively low maintenance, the metal building now serves as a shop area for the Blue Ridge Cowboy Church. Crafted from top-of-the-line steel components, the structure boasts striking, saddle tan paint and a complementing fern green-colored metal roof overhead with a 3:12 pitch. It has high-performance, R-30 metal building insulation installed in its roof, and R-19 insulation can be found within the walls. The insulation drastically reduces energy bills for the building while also helping keep users comfortable and interior temperatures consistent regardless of the outside climate.
Distributed inside are (3) framed openings that vary in terms of size and function, among them (1) 10’x10’ opening with (1) 10’x10’ roll-coil door, (1) 3070 opening enclosing (1) 3070 commercial steel walk door and (1) 6070 opening. In consideration of the variable, often-wet climate of Fairview and the surrounding region, a snow load of 20 lbs. and a wind speed rating of 90 mph serve as additional project features. A census-designated area set within western North Carolina’s Buncombe County, Fairview lies about 80 miles outside Hickory and 12 miles from Asheville.
