Two Steel Buildings in Fort Lupton, Colorado
Metal Building Outlet supplied these (2) pre-engineered steel buildings for a customer in Fort Lupton, Colorado, in January of 2016.
Now functioning as a shop, the (2) buildings are light stone in color with complementing fern green roofs. The first building is 70’x85’x12’ and its roof has a 4:12 pitch, while the second building stands 10’x75’x11’ and has a roof with a 1:12 pitch. Distributed between the buildings are (12) framed openings, among them are (6) 4’x8’ openings, (2) 12’x12’ openings housing (2) 12’x12’ roll-coil doors and (4) 3070 heavy duty 20-gauge steel walk doors. Additional project features include 4” of Wainscot trim, base girt along all walls, a 10’ lean-to with sheeting along the end walls and a Colorado engineer-stamped foundation plan.
To reduce energy costs and improve interior comfort for building users, extremely high-performance WMP-VRR fiberglass insulation and facing with stick tabs is installed within the buildings’ roofs and walls. A wind speed of 115 mph and a snow load of 30 lbs. were also included during construction in consideration of the typical weather patterns experienced in and around Fort Lupton.
Located within north-central Colorado’s Weld County, Fort Lupton lies about 48 miles outside Fort Collins and about 21 miles from Longmont.
