Prefabricated Metal Building in Fort Worth, Texas

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building for a customer in Fort Worth, Texas, in late January of 2016.

Designed for supreme energy efficiency, the building stands 40’x60’x22’ in size and is constructed using premium-grade steel components. Now used as an office, the building has a rugged, painted roof overhead with a 1:12 roof pitch. Inside the steel structure are (9) framed openings varying in size and purpose; among them (1) 12’x12’ opening, (3) 3070 walk doors for convenient building access and (5) 4030 windows to maximize natural sunlight inside.

To reduce energy costs for the building, high R-value, R-30 building insulation is installed within the roof, while R-19 insulation can be found in the walls. The insulation also improves interior comfort for building users while helping muffle outside noise. Additional project features include a wind speed of 90 mph and a snow load of 5 lbs; inclusions that were made to enhance durability with respect to the climate typical of greater Fort Worth.

The fifth-largest city in Texas, Fort Worth has land within Tarrant, Denton, Parker and Wise Counties. It is located about 89 miles outside Waco and about 23 miles from Grapevine.
