Steel Building in Freeport, Texas
Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel building in Freeport, Texas in November of 2020.
Boasting superior durability and an accompanying lean-to, the insulated, energy-efficient metal building stands 40’x60’x16’ upon erection, while its attached lean-to is 12’x60’x15’. Currently functioning as an agricultural shop, the building has an open, clear span design that maximizes available floor space, and overhead it has a hardwearing, corrosion-resistant Galvalume gable roof. The lean-to’s roof is also comprised of durable Galvalume steel paneling, and its roof has a modest 1:12 pitch.
There are (6) framed door openings distributed throughout the steel building and (6) 4030 window openings that let natural sunlight stream inside. The steel shop also has a number of special customizations, including painted gutters and downspouts that help prevent water damage and 3” of roof and wall insulation with heavy-duty WMP-VRR facing adhered to the interior-facing side.
The shop also has 4” of wainscoting with transition trim along its exterior and (2) 3’x3’ metal cupolas on the roof, enhancing aesthetics. The building also features a high, 155-mph wind speed rating in consideration of the climate of the Freeport area and the building codes currently in place in the region.
