Metal Building in Goldsboro, North Carolina
Metal Building Outlet provided this pre-engineered metal building for a customer in Goldsboro, North Carolina in November of 2020.
Comprised of heavy-duty, quality steel parts, the building offers superior structural integrity and energy efficiency and now undergoes use as a shop. Upon erection, the steel shop stands 40’x140’x18’ in size, boasting a broad clear span and high ceilings that can easily accommodate car lifts or oversize equipment.
The roof of the metal shop is comprised of corrosion-resistant Galvalume steel and has a gable design and a mild 1:12 pitch. There are also (4) framed openings throughout the building that provide access inside. Additional noteworthy customizations include an insulation package, with 6” of insulation in the roof of the shop and 4” of insulation in the walls. A WMP-VRR vapor barrier on the inward-facing side of the insulation helps prevent moisture from penetrating it and compromising its effectiveness.
Other accommodations include translucent wall panels that divide up the shop’s interior and several customizations that comply with local building codes, including a recommended wind speed rating and snow load.
