Metal Building Outlet sourced this prefabricated metal building on behalf of a client in Gray, Iowa, in March of 2018.

Ideal for life in Iowa’s variable climate, the building is comprised exclusively from premium-quality steel components, and it now functions as a shop for its owner. It stands 40’x50’x14’ in size and features an open, clear-span design, while a roof constructed from Galvalume metal panels sits overhead, offering a 1:12 pitch.

The shop offers easy accessibility, thanks to (2) 12’x10’ framed openings and (1) 3070 walk door opening, and it also features several accommodations added with regard to the Gray area’s four distinct seasons. These include a 115-mph wind load and a 35-pound snow load. Situated along the West Nishnabotna River, Gray is a small, sparsely populated community that falls within Audubon County. The area lies roughly 10 miles north of Audubon and about 24 miles north of Brayton.
