Steel Aircraft Hangar in Fort Lupton, Colorado
Metal Building Outlet secured this prefabricated steel aircraft hangar building for a client in Fort Lupton, Colorado, in October of 2017.
Now used as an airplane hangar, the building features top-of-the-line steel construction, delivering uncompromised strength and security for stored assets. Once fully erect, it stands 80’x80’x24’ in size, and it features an attractive Polar White exterior and an open, clear-span design that makes it easily accessible for aircraft. Overhead, a rugged Galvalume roof with a 1:12 pitch stands strong in the face of the Colorado elements, and distributed throughout the steel aircraft storage hangar are (5) framed openings varying in size, among them (1) 50’x20’ door, (1) 20’x14’ door, (1) 20’x12’ door and (2) 4070 doors.
To ensure compliance with building codes in place in Fort Lupton and to maximize durability with regard for the area’s typical climate, a 115-mph wind speed rating and a 25-pound snow load serve as additional metal hangar features. A part of northern Colorado’s Weld County, Fort Lupton lies about 27 miles outside Greeley and roughly 28 miles outside Boulder.
