Steel Building in St. George, Utah
Metal Building Insulation supplied this prefabricated steel building for a customer in St. George, Utah, in May of 2021.
Now in use as an aircraft hangar, the durable, low-maintenance metal building is an expansive 50’x420’x14’ in size when raised and has a broad clear span that easily accommodates large wingspans. Comprised of ultra-durable steel components, the metal hangar has corrosion-resistant Galvalume T-shade roof with a 1:12 pitch providing protection from above.
The steel hangar has wall sheeting 3’ above and below the eaves along its left and right end walls, and it also has several climate-related enhancements added with regard for local climate characteristics and building codes. A 110-mph wind load is one such accommodation, and a 30-psf roof snow load is another.
