Steel Building in Hernandez, New Mexico
Metal Building Outlet provided this prefabricated metal building for a buyer in Hernandez, New Mexico, in late August of 2016.
Now serving as a shop, the building is ash gray in color and is crafted using premium-grade steel components. It stands 30’x30’x12’ in size, and its roof has a 4:12 pitch and is made of rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal. Inside the energy efficient, low-maintenance metal building are (2) framed openings; (1) 10’x10’ opening enclosing (1) 10’x10’ insulated roll-coil door and (1) 3’x7’ opening enclosing (1) 3’x7’ insulated steel walk door.
The shop building also features an insulation package, which cuts energy costs considerably while also enhancing interior comfort and noise control. Installed in the roof of the structure is R-19 metal building insulation, while R-13 insulation is installed within the walls. A wind speed of 115 mph and a snow load of 30 lbs. serve as additional project features and were included to enhance overall durability with respect for the climate and weather patterns characteristic of the Hernandez area. An unincorporated community set within Northern New Mexico’s Rio Arriba County, Hernandez is situated about 46 miles outside Taos and 31 miles from Santa Fe.
