Metal Building in Homelake, Colorado
Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building in Homelake, Colorado, in April of 2021.
Spacious, ultra-durable and highly energy-efficient thanks to an insulation package, the building now serves as a shop and stands 60’x100’x12’ once erect. It has a clear span that eliminates interior trusses or columns, and overhead, it features a rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume gable roof.
Key customizations include (3) framed door openings that provide access inside the shop building. There are also 4” of WMP-VRR Plus-faced insulation installed in the walls of the steel shop and 6” of insulation in the roof, with the roof insulation also featuring heavy-duty WMP-VRR Plus facing applied to the interior-facing side of the blankets.
A 28-psf roof snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating are additional customizations made in consideration of the climate characteristics typical of the Homelake area.
