Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel building and accompanying metal lean-to in Hurricane, Utah in March of 2021.
Engineered for life in southwestern Utah, the main, cold-formed metal building stands 30’x40’x15’ in size and boasts an open, clear-span design. The attached steel lean-to is 12’x13’ and creates additional usable space for the property owner. The building features resilient cold-form construction, with cold-formed steel buildings typically taking less time to engineer, ship and raise than traditional steel buildings.
Light Stone in color with Forest Green trim, both steel buildings have Forest Green-colored steel roofs with 2:12 pitches offering protection from overhead. Distributed between them are (6) door and window openings, which include (1) 10×10; sectional door opening, (1) 8’x8’ sectional door opening and (2) 3’4”x7’2” personnel door openings.
There are also (2) 4’x3’ framed window openings and (1) 3’x3’ window opening that let natural light inside. The steel building and lean-to also feature several climate-related enhancements, including gutters that divert moisture away from the roofs and foundations. Both structures also feature 115-mph wind loads and 25-psf roof snow loads in adherence to local building codes.
