Attractive, multifunctional, and insulated to maximize energy efficiency, the building stands 30’x40’x10’ and undergoes use as a shop. Constructed from rugged, high-end steel parts, the shop features a striking Colonial Red exterior, while Burnished Slate trim and a matching roof further enhance its curb appeal.
The building’s painted roof has a gable design and a 3:12 pitch, and (6) framed door and window openings are additional features. Distributed throughout the steel building are (1) 10’x10’ opening housing (1) 10’x10 Amarr Series 2412 overhead sectional door with a manual lift, (1) 3070 walk door opening enclosing (1) 20-gauge insulated commercial walk door with a lever lock, and (4) 3030 window openings.
An insulation package keeps heating and cooling bills low and the building’s interior comfortable year-round. The roof of the building contains a 6” layer of R-19 insulation, while the walls contain 4” of R-13 insulation. The insulation has heavy-duty WMP-VRR facing on one side, which acts as a protective cover while enhancing the look of the building from the inside.
A 40-psf roof snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating are additional customizations that keep the steel shop compliant with local building and engineering codes.
