Steel Building in Kearns, Utah

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel building for a customer in Kearns, Utah, in late December of 2015.

Boasting striking, light stone-colored paint and a hardwearing Galvalume metal roof with a 1: 12 pitch, the building stands 40’x60’x14’ in size and now serves as a shop for the owner. Crafted from premium-grade steel components, the building contains (3) framed openings, which include (2) 12’x12’ openings and (1) that houses a 3070 walk door designed for building user access.

To reduce energy costs and enhance building usability, this project features a metal building insulation package, with R-19 insulation installed in both the roof and walls. The building also features a wind speed of 115 mph and a snow load of 43 lbs. These inclusions were added in consideration of the typical climate of the Kearns area.

A township located within north-central Utah’s Salt Lake County, Kearns is situated about 21 miles outside Bountiful and about 6 miles from West Jordan.
