Metal Building in Lake Charles, Louisiana
Metal Building Outlet provided this pre-engineered metal building in Lake Charles, Louisiana in December of 2020.
Now used as a shop by a roofing contractor, the cold-formed metal building boasts optimal structural integrity and has numerous customizations, including an open, 18’ carport. The painted shop building is 24’x48’x10’ in size and has a clear span that maximizes usable floor space, and overhead, a Galvalume gable roof with a modest 3:12 pitch offers protection from the elements.
Cold-formed steel buildings offer high strength-to-weight ratios, making them easier to ship and raise than traditional steel buildings. This particular cold-formed steel building has (2) framed openings providing access inside, which include (1) 17’x8’ overhead door opening and (1) 3070 walk door opening.
A 3.5-psf snow load and a high, 140-mph wind speed rating are additional shop features that keep the building compliant with applicable building and engineering codes.
