Steel Building in Lake Cormorant, Mississippi
Metal Building Outlet supplied this pre-engineered steel building for a customer in Lake Cormorant, Mississippi, in April of 2022.
Low maintenance, easy to construct and insulated to ensure energy-efficiency, the building now functions as a shop and is an expansive 50’x120’x16’ in size. A broad clear span creates a column-free interior, maximizing usable space, and high ceilings makes the shop even more versatile.
A hardwearing, corrosion-resistant Galvalume gable roof with a 3:12 pitch sits overhead, providing protection from the elements, and (3) framed door openings offer access inside the metal shop building. Included are (2) 14’x14’ framed door openings and (1) 3070 opening that will house a walk door.
Inside the roof and walls of the steel shop are 4” layers of R-13 insulation with heavy-duty WMP-VRR facing adhered to the interior-facing side. The insulation keeps energy bills low, while both the insulation blankets and facing material help protect the building against condensation.
A 10-psf roof snow load and a 105-mph wind speed rating are additional customizations made in adherence to local building and engineering codes.
