Metal Building in Lavina, Montana
Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building for a customer in Lavina, Montana, in early December, 2015.
Crafted from rugged, top-grade steel, the energy-efficient building stands 40’x60’x14’ in size and is now used as a storage area by the owner. Its roof is constructed using hardwearing, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal and has a 2:12 pitch. Inside the building are (4) framed openings, which include (1) 12’x12’ opening, (2) 10’x10’ openings and (1) final framed opening that houses a commercial, insulated 3070 walk door for convenient user access.
To improve energy efficiency given the building’s Montana location and the region’s typical climate, the structure has R-6 metal building insulation and accompanying WMP VRR facing installed within its roof, and R-4 insulation, also with WMP VRR facing, installed within the walls. The building also boasts a wind speed of 115 mph and a snow load of 30 lbs. A small town in central Montana’s Golden Valley County, Lavina is situated about 174 miles outside the Montana State Capitol in Helena and about 126 miles from Livingston.
