Metal Building in Little Diamond, Guyana

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel building in Little Diamond, East Bank Demerara, Guyana, in June of 2022.

Used for commercial purposes, the insulated, climate-controlled automotive supply building has reflective Solar White exterior paint with matching trim and a Crimson Red roof that maximizes curb appeal. When constructed, the steel commercial building is an expansive 100’x120’x20’ in size and has a clear-span design and a gable roof with a modest 1.25:12 pitch.

The building features numerous customizations throughout that make it well-suited for use in Guyana’s wet, tropical climate. It has (7) gutters and downspouts along each side that divert rainwater away, and it also features a layer of R-10 insulation in its roof, which helps protect against condensation.

As far as doors and windows, the metal warehouse has (2) walk door openings housing (2) 3070 insulated walk doors with lever locks and (3) 10’x12’ framed door openings holding (3) Amarr Series 2412 10’x12’ insulated overhead sectional doors with manual chain hoists. There are also (3) 6’x14’ canopies that extend over the overhead doors, creating covered outdoor space, and (10) 3’x5’ translucent light panels that will line the top of the warehouse’s side walls.

In the roof, (5) 10’ ridge vents with 9” throats and dampers improve ventilation, and a 115-mph wind rating keeps the steel commercial building compliant with the building codes in place at the business address.
