Steel Building in Loving, New Mexico

Metal Building Outlet provided this pre-engineered steel building for a client in Loving, New Mexico, in April of 2018.

Durable, economical and insulated to maximize energy efficiency, the building boasts a finished size of 40’x60’x20’. Now functioning as a shop, it features a bold, Crimson Red exterior, while a corrosion-resistant roof comprised of Galvalume metal panels sits overhead, offering a 1:12 roof pitch.

An insulation package, which includes R-10 insulation in the shop’s roof and walls, keeps building users comfortable and interior temperatures consistent, and it also delivers considerable savings on energy costs for the building’s owner. Additional features include (8) framed openings, among them (2) 14’x16’ openings, (1) 3070 walk door opening and (5) 4’x4’ windows that let natural light filter inside.

Other accommodations made with respect for the climate characteristics of Loving and the surrounding landscape include a 20-pound snow load and a 90-mph wind load. Located in southeastern New Mexico’s Eddy County, the small village of Loving lies about 12 miles outside Carlsbad and roughly 75 miles outside Pecos, Texas.
