Steel Building in Mackay, Idaho
Metal Building Outlet supplied this premanufactured metal building in Mackay, Idaho, in late August of 2017.
Designed for the climate and highly energy efficient, the building boasts a striking, burnished slate exterior and a complementing, brick red roof with a 3:12 pitch overhead. Comprised of premium-quality steel materials, the structure now operates as a shop, and it offers a finished size of 100’x100’x20’.
Distributed throughout the shop are (6) framed openings, and these include (2) 14’x14’ openings enclosing (2) 14’x14’ overhead doors and (4) 3070 openings, each equipped with one of (4) 3070 walk doors. A high-performance insulation package is also included in the sale, with R-30 insulation within the building’s roof and R-25 insulation within its walls. Additional accommodations made in consideration of the strong seasonal weather differences and the sometimes-heavy wintertime snowfall of the area include a high, 60-pound snow load and a 115-mph wind speed rating.
A small, sparsely populated town in central Idaho’s Custer County, Mackay lies about 106 miles from Stanley and about 220 miles outside Boise.
