Metal Building in Medina, Ohio

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building in Medina, Ohio in November of 2020.

Now functioning as a commercial shop for a trucking company, the insulated, highly energy-efficient steel building features premium-quality steel construction and is an expansive 80’x240’18’4” in size. It has an open, clear span design, and it also has high ceilings, allowing for the storage of oversize trucks or equipment.

The building has a rugged, corrosion-resistant Galvalume gable roof providing protection from above, and (31) door and window openings serve as additional building features. The steel shop also features a high-performance insulation system that keeps energy bills low and building users comfortable, regardless of season or outside temperatures. It has a high R-value, double layer banded insulation system installed in the roof that maximizes energy efficiency, while the walls contain an Energy Saver insulation system.

Other notable customizations include gutters and downspouts along both side walls, which help prevent water damage, and 4’ canopy bays over the building’s dock doors. A 14-psf snow load and a 115-mpoh wind speed rating enhance durability with respect for the building’s environment while maintaining compliance with local building codes.
