Prefabricated Metal Building in Cheyenne, Wyoming
Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building in Cheyenne, Wyoming, in May of 2015.
The sturdy, low-maintenance building is now used as an airplane hangar, and is 55’x40’x18’ in size. It is covered overhead by a durable, corrosion-resistant galvalume steel roof with a 1:12 roof pitch. In consideration of the cold, semi-arid climate of the Cheyenne area, which is characterized by long, cold winters, seasonal snowfall, and rare, but occasional tornado activity, the metal hangar is engineered with a high wind speed of 125 mph and a snow load of 30 lbs.
Cheyenne is the most populous city in Wyoming, and is a part of Laramie County, in the southeastern corner of the state. Nicknamed the “Magic City of the Plains” due to its rapid growth, Cheyenne sits along Crow Creek and Dry Creek. The city lies about 83 miles from Torrington and 51 miles outside Laramie.
