Metal Building in Aberdeen, South Dakota
Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building for a customer in Aberdeen, South Dakota, in late March of 2016.
Low maintenance, highly durable and tremendously energy efficient, the building is crafted from premium-grade steel components and stands 80’x160’x18’ in size. Now used as a shop, the steel building boasts a corrosion-resistant, hardwearing Galvalume metal roof with a 1:12 pitch overhead. Inside the structure are (5) framed openings, which include (2) 12’x12’ openings, (1) 18’x16’ opening and (2) 3070 openings enclosing (2) 3070 walk doors with windows.
Installed in the metal shop’s roof is high R-value, R-35 metal building insulation, while R-19 insulation is installed within the walls. The insulation package considerably reduces energy bills associated with the property while helping keep interior temperatures consistent and comfortable year-round. Additional project features include a wind speed of 115 mph and a high snow load of 50 lbs. These inclusions were made given the typical climate and weather patterns typical of the Aberdeen area.
Set within northeastern South Dakota’s Brown County, the city of Aberdeen lies about 204 miles from Sioux Falls and about 95 miles from Watertown.
