Pre-Engineered Metal Cattle Barn in Ashley, North Dakota

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel cattle barn for a client in Ashley, North Dakota, in June 2024.

Designed to protect livestock from North Dakota’s heavy snowfall and extreme temperatures, the metal cattle barn features rugged, low-maintenance steel construction and a clear span design that eliminates the need for internal supports. Half of the building has 16’ ceilings, while the other half, which sits atop a 2’ stem wall, has 14’ ceilings. This setup allows for plenty of headroom for animals and equipment, creating a comfortable, efficient environment for ranch operations.

The steel barn has a corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof, and it also has eight 4030 windows that allow natural light and warmth inside. There are also two traditional doors for convenient entry and another, larger overhead door that can easily accommodate cattle.

Engineered with high wind and snow load ratings to enhance durability and meet local building code requirements, the metal cattle barn is a reliable, long-lasting addition to the ranch property that will protect valuable livestock for years to come.
