5 Pre-Engineered Metal Municipal Buildings in Glenwood, New Mexico

Metal Building Outlet sourced these four metal municipal buildings for the community of Glenwood, New Mexico, in late April 2024.

Supplied to house administrative operations, maintenance equipment and other community services and resources, the metal municipal complex is custom-designed to meet the community’s needs, serving as a functional, year-round space for city employees and administrators to conduct business. In addition to supplying the metal building kits for all four government buildings, Metal Building Outlet also delivered the materials needed to create an additional bump-out, adding length and functionality to one of the buildings by creating extra room for storage or other use.

All four buildings offer superior strength and durability, making them well-suited for heavy year-round use, and all are custom-designed to accommodate local climate characteristics and the needs of the community.  Each steel municipal structure has gutters and downspouts that prevent rain and rare snowfall from collecting on the buildings’ roofs or near their foundations, and distributed among them are 23 9”x10’ ridge vents with pull chains, allowing for optimal ventilation while keeping the air inside clean and comfortable.

Several of the steel city buildings also feature additional roof loads, with one sporting a 200-lb. point load on each rafter and another boasting a 1,000-lb. point load on each frame. This design feature helps support potential future structural upgrades, and it also allows for the addition of heavy overhead HVAC systems or equipment.

Low-maintenance, long-lasting and budget-friendly, these prefabricated metal municipal buildings are a smart investment for Glenwood that will support community needs for generations to come.
