Insulated Metal Shop in Joshua Tree, California
Delivered by Metal Building Outlet to Joshua Tree, California, in November 2022, this building now functions as a shop.
The owner needed an open, versatile space to use for storing goods, performing work and otherwise using as he saw fit, and this pre-engineered shop building checks all the boxes, featuring a wide clear span and high ceilings that maximize usable space.
The shop’s steel framing and sheeting make it a durable, lower-maintenance alternative to a traditional wood building, and it is also far more fire- and damage-resistant than wooden structures. In the roof and walls, the shop has 4” of fiberglass insulation, which boosts the building’s thermal performance while muffling noise and helping prevent condensation.
The shop building, which adheres to the building codes in place in Joshua tree, arrived at the jobsite in partially assembled pieces, which sped up and simplified the erection process.
