Monitor Style Steel Barndominium in Laramie, Wyoming
Nestled within one of Wyoming’s most pristine valleys, Wild Horse Ranch stands as a testament to the beauty and simplicity of ranch living.
Adding to the allure of this gated, lakefront community is the addition of a pre-engineered metal shop and attached lean-to, which Metal Building Outlet delivered to the site in November 2021.
Engineered to accommodate high wind loads, the metal shop has an eye-catching exterior that complements the area’s rustic charm and serves as a secure space for storage and other community needs. Standout features include the 8’x60’ open-air lean-to and numerous windows, allowing an abundance of natural light to flood the interior. The steel building also has 1’ overhangs along all four sides, which protect its outside walls while creating functional, covered outdoor space.
Customizations and Upgrades Throughout
A full insulation package is another key feature, with R-25 insulation installed in the shop’s roof and R-19 insulation lining its walls. The roof and wall insulation regulates inside temperatures and muffles outside noise, and it also enhances energy efficiency.
The shop can support heavy loads thanks to the addition of an 8-pound collateral load in the roof and a 3-pound collateral load in the walls. The addition of roof and wall engineering deflections during fabrication also allows for the seamless addition of drywall and other materials.
Bathed in natural light and adorned with striking architectural details, this structure contributes to the ease and beauty of the ranch living experience. While it adds to the functionality of the community, it also elevates its aesthetic appeal and enhances quality of life for those lucky enough to call Wild Horse Ranch Home.
