Metal Building in Monroe, North Carolina

Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated metal building in Monroe, North Carolina, in April of 2015.

Now an active fishery used by IGA Corp., a 17-store, North Carolina-based grocery chain, the steel building stands 40’x60’x12’ and boasts a corrosion-resistant Galvalume roof with a 1:12 pitch. Building features include (5) framed openings of varying sizes, among them (1) 12’x10’ opening, (1) 3070 walk door for user access and (3) 4040 window openings to maximize natural sunlight inside.

In consideration of the weather and climate patterns commonly seen in and around Monroe and the surrounding region, the building was constructed with a wind speed of 100 mph and a ground snow load of 10 lbs.

The rapidly growing City of Monroe is a part of south-central North Carolina’s Union County, and is a part of the Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill metropolitan area. It sits about 115 miles outside Fayetteville and 26 miles from Charlotte.
