Steel Building in Morris, Illinois
Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel building for a customer in Morris, Illinois, in early May of 2016.
Fox gray in color, the building is crafted from top-of-the-line steel components and is now used as a shop. Its roof is made of durable, corrosion-resistant Galvalume metal and has a 1:12 roof pitch. Distributed throughout the building are (11) framed openings, among them (1) 10’x10’ opening enclosing (1) 10’x10’ overhead sectional door, (2) 14’x10’ openings enclosing (2) 14’x10’ overhead sectional doors, (2) 3070 openings harboring (2) 3070 commercial walk doors and finally, (4) 60”x32” windows. A wind speed of 115 mph and a snow load of 20 lbs. serve as additional project features, and were included to enhance durability with respect to the climate of the region.
The largest community in north-central Illinois’ Grundy County, the city of Morris is situated about 39 miles outside Naperville and 25 miles from Joliet.
