Steel Building in Mound House, Nevada
Metal Building Outlet supplied this prefabricated steel building in Mound House, Nevada, in February of 2021.
Sustainable, easy to raise and heavily insulated to maximize energy efficiency, the building now operates as a shop and is 50’x90’x20’ in size. High ceilings allow the building to accommodate oversize vehicles, machinery or equipment, while clear-span construction creates an open, column-free interior that maximizes usable floor space.
A durable, corrosion-resistant gable roof comprised of heavy-duty Galvalume steel paneling sits overhead, and (8) framed door and window openings are additional customizations. Found throughout the steel shop building are (3) 3070 openings holding (3) 3070 20-gauge insulated commercial walk doors with lever locks and (2) 12’x14’ overhead door openings enclosing (2) 12’x14’ Amarr Series 2432 overhead doors with chain hoists.
Also included are (2) 5040 window openings and (1) 3050 window opening. The shop building also has (24) 3’x5’4” light-transmitting panels lining its front side wall. An insulation package keeps power bills low and building users comfortable throughout the year. The roof contains a high-performance, R-30 double-banded insulation system, while the walls contain 4” of R-13 insulation.
A 120-mph wind load and a 21-psf snow load are additional accommodations made in line with local building and engineering codes.
