Metal Building Outlet was pleased to supply this pre-engineered metal shop building in North Port, Florida, in September of 2019.

Offering uncompromised durability in the face of salty air, strong winds and other construction hazards common across coastal Florida, the insulated steel building stands 50’x80’x16’ in size and is currently in use as a shop. It features an unobstructed clear span, meaning it has no interior columns or trusses taking up unnecessary space, and it also features high ceilings, allowing for any number of different uses.

The roof of the metal shop has a 2:12 pitch and is comprised of rugged Galvalume steel panels, and installed within it is a layer of R-10 fiberglass insulation, which improves energy efficiency and interior comfort. The exterior of the shop, meanwhile, is an attractive Saddle Tan color, and (5) framed openings serve as additional project features. Included are (2) 12’x14’ openings, (1) 10’x10’ opening and (2) 3’4”x7’2” door openings.

A high, 150-mph wind load is another customization made in consideration of the strong wind and hurricane activity known to pass through the region, and it also keeps the steel shop in compliance with local building codes. Part of the North Port – Bradenton – Sarasota metropolitan area, the city of North Port is a part of Sarasota County.
